Finally Meeting Mickey Mouse!

The last time I went to Disneyland, I didn't get to meet Mickey. Tonight Bryce and Miss Fung took me to Disneyland again and we went knocking on Mickey's door.
Here is where Pluto sleeps.
Bryce, Mickey, and Me!

The Los Angeles Zoo

It was such a beautiful Spring day that Miss Fung decided to take me and Bryce to the zoo. Her son Daniel wanted to go swimming instead.

In front of the main entrance!
A Komono Dragon...
Zebras!
Mountain goats resting...
These looked like wild pigs...
The zoo just finished a new home for the gorilla.
This was a statue nearby. Bryce made him kiss it!

Dim Sum Sunday!

This morning we went to Dim Sum. Dim Sum is like a Chinese brunch. People walk by with little dishes of food and you choose what you want. It was interesting. Bryce wanted to try dumplings because he had seen it on Ni ho Kai-Lan, the TV show on NickJr.

We sat next to the tank with the live fish.
When people order the fish, they take them out
of the tank and cook them. I think you can choose
the one you want. Here I am in front of the lobsters.
Here are some of the dishes we ordered.
Shrimp dumplings!
Here I am in front of the tank with the shrimps.
Kind of sad if you ask me.

Swimming at the Rose Bowl!

The boys wanted to go swimming today.

There is a nice olympic size pool by the
Rose Bowl in Pasadena. Miss Fung
said that I couldn't jump in, so I watched
from the bleachers. The boys seem to have fun.

Wow, today we got invited to film segments for the PBS show Sid the Science Kid! The students and I got to explore exhibits at the California Science Center (http://www.californiasciencecenter.org/) while cameras were rolling. The show will feature the students and kinder teachers this fall. It was pretty exciting! Unfortunately since I wasn't an official student, they didn't film me. I just got to watch.

Supporting Teachers and Education in CA

This morning I spent with teachers passing out flyers.
In Los Angeles, they are going to lay off many
teachers and 13 of them from the school I am visiting.
Very sad. So I joined them to show my support.
Go teachers!
There is a huge plane outside the school
where Miss Fung teaches.
The teachers that may lose their jobs.
So sad.
