Birthday Party Weekend!

Bryce turned 3 on Sunday. He woke up to open presents and then we went to Disneyland!

Here I am watching Bryce open his presents.
He got a lot of learning games.
For his birthday, we went to Goofy's Kitchen
for breakfast. They had a peanut butter and jelly pizza!

I got to meet Goofy!
Then we drove to Disneyland!
Here I am with Bryce's birthday cupcake
in the parking lot of Disneyland.

Daniel took me to meet Pluto.
He is Mickey's dog.

Woody was a really nice guy!
I enjoyed the high school musical show.
We rode back in the monorail because
Bryce was getting tired and was getting sick!
When we got home, he had a fever, so we are
all going to be early tonight. Hope all is well Gautham!

Black History Program

Today we performed in the Black History Program at school. The students in Room 3 were joined by their 4th grade reading buddies and sang the song, "Heal the World." The students talked about the problems in Haiti and how we as a world can help. The kids let me perform with them too!

Waiting for our turn to perform.
Miss Fung and her nice class.
Singing on stage with my friends.
singing...
I think I did a pretty good job!

100th Day of School!

Today was the 100th day of school for Room 3. The boys and girls made projects with 100 items and had 100 snacks too! There was even a visit from Zero the Hero! He comes every 10 days and leaves treats, but on the 100th day... he actually visits! The kids were sooooo excited!
then we walked over to the Natural History Museum to learn about animals now and long ago.

I'm helping Alessandra with her 100 snacks.
Cassandra made 100 out of 100 pretzels!
Eden had 100 coins and Audren made
a rainbow out of 100 jelly beans!

We were so excited that Zero the Hero arrived!
Here are my new friends with their wonderful
student teacher Mrs. Valdavia!
We were off to the museum!
It sprinkled, but we decided to chance it anyway.
Here we are in front of the museum.
I got to touch Vanilla, the tortoise!
Hamza and Junieth let me listen to a shell.
I helped the girls dig for dinosaurs bones!
Those are bugs behind me...
and Adriana showed me the turtle.
Fun day!

Saturday in LA

Today the boys took me to a crazy place called Chuck E. Cheese. It was loud and there were lots of kids running around. I played some basketball and Bryce shared his ice cream sandwich with me. We were going to go somewhere super special yesterday, but it rained, so they promised me that next week we would go for Bryce's birthday.

Hanging out with the Cool Kids in Room 3!

I got to visit Miss Fung's Fungtastic Kinder Class!
They were very friendly and welcomed me
during Daily News. Everyone wanted to hold me too!

Annabel and Daniel wanted to trace
me during writing time.
I hung out with Eden and Daniel while they wrote.
I watched the student teacher Ms. Valdavia
do her mini lesson during writing time.
She's going to be a great teacher on her
own someday! She has a lot of patience!
The students were learning about Chinese New Year
and I got to do the Lion Dance with them.
Nicholas let me hang out with him when
he was on the computer today.
Alessandra took me to run with her.
The students are completing a 26.2 mile
marathon this year and so they run a lot!

I'm Here!

Hello Ms. Bratton's Class!

Well I arrived in Los Angeles today, actually in the city of Alhambra. I was so happy to finally be able to get out of the envelop and stretch my legs. It was a tight fit in there. The first thing I noticed was how warm it was. The weather today was nearly 80 degrees! Can you believe that it's that hot in February? Tell Gautham that I am safe and looking forward to my stay with Miss Fung and her class and family. Here are a few pictures from tonight. I will be going with her to school tomorrow to meet the boys and girls in her class. She teaches kindergarten.

Bye for now!
Love,
Flat Stanley

This is Lucy, Miss Fung's dog.

Here I am helping her son Daniel
with his spelling words.
I had a chance to visit with her
4 hermit crabs too!

Her younger son, Bryce, said he was going
to take me somewhere very special on Friday!
